Creation of an IT strategy

Lohmann is considered a pioneer in adhesive tape technology and is now active worldwide.
The headquarters of the Adhesive Tape Group is located in Neuwied/ Germany.
The company employs over 1,600 people worldwide and is active in 29 international locations and with exclusive sales partners in over 50 countries around the globe.
In 2014, the Group generated sales of €265 million.

The initial situation

  • As a follow-up to an IT assessment, the IT strategy should be consolidated and adapted to the current corporate strategy.

The solution

  • The current situation was recorded by means of an assessment in accordance with the entero strategy model.
  • Afterwards, the goals and boundary conditions for the future direction were defined together with the management.
  • A Group-wide process model was developed and agreed on the basis of these specifications. This model is to be understood as a “standard” and represents the scope of a template to be created (minimum standard).

The success

  • The IT concept ensures that both the central functions and the local processes can be served optimally and uniformly throughout the Group.
  • The resulting transparency creates a secure basis for company-wide decisions.
