Salesforce connection to third-party systems and international roll-out

The vwd group is one of the market leaders for financial market information, quantitative product analysis and individual consulting services.
The group employs more than 450 people in Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Despite the international activity, there is a strong link to the local financial markets.

The initial situation

  • The vwd group already had a Salesforce solution in place with the Sales Cloud. This was used for opportunity capture in German-speaking countries.
  • Connections to SAP and other internal systems were missing for optimal support of sales and customer evaluation.
  • Based on inventory and new sales figures, forecasts should be able to be made from the group level down to the individual product.
